Aaron, a troubled drifter living out of his car, stalks and abducts 17-year-old Emma, claiming she's his daughter taken from him a decade earlier. Emma doesn’t remember Aaron, or any of her supposed childhood keepsakes. Holding her captive while he attempts to obtain proof, Aaron fails to stir up any memories in Emma of the supposed life they lived, and doubt creeps in. Did he take the right girl?
