Chad Ferrin is a hardwired genre filmmaker, writer, and producer who's spent decades bringing raw, guerrilla-style horror to screens big and small. He got his start as a production assistant on Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers and Hellraiser: Bloodline before directing episodes of Troma’s Edge TV. His feature debut, Unspeakable, kicked off a no-holds-barred career in independent horror. Ferrin gained a cult following with brutal, low-budget hits like The Ghouls, Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill!, and Someone’s Knocking at the Door—films known for their transgressive style and grindhouse edge. True to his Troma roots, Ferrin often writes, directs, produces, and acts in his films, staying fiercely independent and unfiltered in his storytelling. Recent work includes The Deep Ones, a Lovecraftian horror tale, and Pig Killer, a true-crime shocker based on serial killer Robert Pickton. A relentless self-starter and lifelong horror fan, Ferrin’s vision blends unapologetic violence, gritty realism, and underground authenticity. If cult cinema had a heartbeat, it beats in Ferrin’s films.
