Eccentric filmmaker Daniel Thwaites cares for his invalid mother and is plagued by recurring visceral memories. When Francis, a close friend who lives in the gloomy confines of the house on the hill comes to visit, Daniel discovers unsettling journal entries that bring to light his bizarre and regretful past lives.
